The Wisteria House London Original Gouache Painting
I recently discovered that nearly all wisterias in England originate from a single plant that currently grows on the side of a brewery in London. The original cuttings that this plant came from were brought in from China on behalf of the Horticultural Society of London in the early 1800’s. Pretty cool, right?
Now, wisterias can be seen all over England. I’m in awe of them, and they always catch my eye when we are out cycling in the countryside! 😍 This gouache painting was inspired by a few different doors and blooms that we’ve seen so far this year.
An original acrylic gouache illustration painted on 100% superior strength watercolour paper, measuring 9"x12". Gouache has a unique matte finish which gives this illustration a flat design type finish. Comes unframed. Colours may differ slightly depending on monitor settings.
